Revelation
Scripture is the product of God’s divine work of revealing himself to humankind.
Inspiration
God chose to reveal himself in the Scriptures by superintending over human authors as they composed and recorded in their own individual and unique styles his authoritative revelation to humankind (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; II Peter 3).
Inerrancy
The inspired revelation of God is fully truthful in all that it affirms (Psalm 119:160).
Authority
The Bible, as God’s self-revealed will to humanity, has supreme authority. It has the ultimate right to regulate all belief and conduct (II Timothy 3:16).
Illumination
The indwelling Holy Spirit witnesses to the truth of the Bible in the hearts of believers and thereby illuminates their understanding of it (1 Cor. 1:10-11).
