In a spirit of Christlike love, we are devoted to four basic things just as the first New Testament church was (Acts 2:42-47)
The Study of Scripture

We are committed, first of all, to “the apostles’ teaching,” i.e. to the truth of God’s Word.  It is preached exegetically each and every Sunday morning with the ultimate goal being life application.  Consistent with what James writes in his epistle (James 1:22), we seek to be “doers of the word, and not hearers only.”

God’s Word is also taught in other settings, such as Sunday school classes, Children’s Church, Bible studies, men’s groups, women’s groups, etc.
The Fellowship

We are committed, secondly to “the fellowship,” and because we are, we want to do more on Sunday mornings than just meet for an hour or so and then go our separate ways.  So we share a continental breakfast together each week before worship, and twice a month we share a potluck lunch together after our worship service.  Through these very special times of fellowship we greatly strengthen our connections with one another!

We experience meaningful fellowship in a variety of other venues as well, e.g. in our Prayer & Fellowship times, in our men’s & women’s groups, in our picnics, in our ice cream socials, and in our game nights, just to name a few.
The Breaking of Bread

We are committed, thirdly, to “the breaking of bread.”  On the first Sunday of each month, we remember the death of our Lord Jesus Christ for our sins through a special communion service.  And, in obedience to Scripture, we will continue to do so “until he comes again” (1 Cor. 11:26).
Prayer

We are committed, lastly, to “the prayers.”  We are devoted to praying so as to know God more intimately through (ACTS)…

·  Adoration
·  Confession
·  Thanksgiving

…and to praying for each other’s needs through…

·  Supplication

And we do so through corporate prayer before and after each worship service, as well as during special Prayer & Fellowship times in the middle of the week, and through the individual prayers of our members.
Worship

Our worship on Sunday mornings is simple and God-directed, involving:

·  A blended style of music-praise choruses and hymns
·  Scripture readings
·  Testimonies (“God Stories”)
·  Children’s messages
·  Children’s Sunday School
·  Scripture-based sermons
·  Prayer
·  Communion (first Sunday of each month)
Environment

The kind of environment at Agape Fellowship Church is a casual and relaxed one.  We don’t want anyone to feel out of place or uncomfortable regardless of how dressed up or down they happen to be.   So come as you are!
